Why a Hard Knocks high tech category ?
Just trying to keep abreast on the latest technologies in the software industry can be enough to keep anyone's head burried in the sand, forgetting those hard earned lessons which come from the 'School of Hard Knocks' or 'School of Life' if you will.

Well, after sharing some of my experiences with other colleagues, hearing a few other horror stories here and there, and me being burned on more than a few occasions for my gullibility (more like stupidity), I decided to create this blog section to document -- perhaps even 'vent' -- the series of not so technical issues related to life in the tech industry.
From measuring a client's expectations, possible 'trap doors' on projects, dealing with not so pleasant weasels, to industry news which puts conventional wisdom on its head, most entries will try to convey a hard earned lesson -- at least from my point of view ;) -- that may serve some other techie the same as the next emerging technology issue.
